The Bruntál Plant – A Brief History
1976
The production plant was established for the treatment of Cu-Pb-Zn concentrate.
1990
Production of Tungsten compounds.
1991
Production extended to pharmaceutical grade Magnesium
1992
The production plant HMZ, a. s. was privatised from state control.
1996
Production of pharmaceutical grade Calcium Chloride Dihydrate commenced.
1999
Production of special Magnesium compounds commenced and the Bruntál Plant was awarded ISO 9002 certification.
2000
The Bruntál Plant was awarded ISO 9001 and GMP certification and the company became an integral part of the OSRAM Group.
2004
The Bruntál plant was acquired by MACCO ORGANIQUES Inc. The plant is certificated under GMP according to ICH Q7A and obtained DMF, CoS, HACCP, Kosher and Halal certificates.
During this brief history the Bruntal plant has become the world leader in the production of pharmaceutical / food grades of Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate and Calcium Chloride Dihydrate.
