COMPANY HISTORY
The Macco Organiques s.r.o. Czech plant has been operating since the early 1970’s (albeit under different ownership) and during this time not only experienced exceptional commercial growth but introduced new and innovative products into the market. In 2004 Macco Organiques Inc. Canada, acquired the entire Czech production plant thereby creating a truly multinational, multicultural, multifaceted company well equipped for long term sustainability and development.
Along the way there have been several landmark events that further evidence the strong foundations on which Macco Organiques s.r.o. is built, indeed some employees and associates have been with us all the way, testament to how we value our people.

The Bruntal Plant - Landmark Events
1976: The production plant was established for the treatment of Cu-Pb-Zn concentrate to produce Zinc salts.
1990: Production of Tungsten compounds commenced.
1991: Production extended to pharmaceutical grade Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate.
1996: Production extended to pharmaceutical grade Calcium Chloride Dihydrate.
1999: Production of special Magnesium compounds commenced and the Bruntal plant was awarded ISO 9002 certification.
2000: The Bruntal plant was awarded ISO 9001 and GMP certification and the company became an integral part of the Osram group.

2004: Acquirement of Fine Chemicals division of Osram Bruntal by the Canadian company Macco Organiques.
Formed in 1986, Macco Organiques Inc. acquired the assets of a long-standing chemical manufacturing company in Valleyfield (Quebec) producing propionates, benzoates and acetates. Since this time Macco has experienced steady growth and an impressive increase in capacity focusing predominantly on the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries. In 1988, Macco Organiques Inc. developed a revolutionary technology to dry and process all ingredients into a dust-free powder form that remains free flowing without caking or clumping for extended lengths of time.
Macco has received and maintained worldwide recognition for producing high quality dust free products with their unique technology and has been awarded ISO 9001 certification and adheres strictly to FSSC 22000 standards. The facility is FDA audited according to GMP Q7 guidelines and has API manufacturing license from the Health Canada.
Macco Organiques Inc. offers an extensive portfolio of dust-free ingredients such as: Sodium Acetate Anhydrous, Sodium Acetate Trihydrate, Calcium Acetate, Potassium Acetate, Calcium Propionate, Sodium Propionate, Potassium Benzoate and Sodium Benzoates from their Canada plant.

2010: Build-up of a new multipurpose line for production of other sulphates and chlorides.

2018: Macco acquired french company ISALTIS
Isaltis is one of the high purity mineral salts key producers. Based particularly on alkali and earth alkaline metals (Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Strontium, Barium) and other metals like Iron, Copper, Aluminium and Zinc, these salts are essential for all body functions (Hormone regulation, stamina, joint & bone health, tissue repair, energy production, acid-base balance, nerve function...). They are also used in many industrial applications like pyrotechnics or catalysis for instance.
